Dead Rising 2: Off the Record Conquers Comic-Con

Over the last few years Comic-Con has gone from being a small convention for hardcore Comic fans to a big event in the annual movie and videogame calendar.

Where ever comics and videogames collide, you can be guaranteed to find zombies so it wasn’t surprising that there were a lot of Dead Rising 2 fans desperate to play Dead Rising 2: Off the Record at Comic-con. To give them an early peek we sent Executive Producer Jason Leigh to show off the very latest build. During his visit Jason spent time with the GameSpot team speaking with them about the long-awaited return of Frank West. It’s a long video but includes some great real-time footage of Off the Record.

Dead Rising 2: Off the Record will be released on October 11th in North America and 14th October in Europe.

Devil May Cry Art Star Joins Capcom Vancouver

Capcom Vancouver is pleased to announce Naru Omori has joined as the new Studio Art Director. He’s joining us after many years working at Capcom Headquarters in Osaka where he helped create the art for the Devil May Cry and Dead Rising series. In his new role he will be acting as Art Director for the entire studio; working closely with the individual art directors offering support, advice and his own special insights.

Omori-san says working on Dead Rising was a key turning point in his games career as it gave him a great appreciation of how games are developed globally and also the opportunity to join Capcom Vancouver and help make the bond between the studio and Capcom Japan even tighter.

We would like to welcome Omori-san to the studio and look forward to working with him.
